CLEANING:

For best results, St. Clair recommends store-bought glass cleaners, soapy water or a mild vinegar and water solution (except on Stay Clean Glass - see below for cleaning tips). Wipe dry with a soft lint-free cloth, or try an old-time method that really works - dry your windows with a newspaper.

For Stay Clean Glass Windows, use mild soapy water to clean windows. Avoid scouring pads, Comet, Soft Scrub, Ammonia and alcohol-based products.

To tilt in your windows for cleaning, unlock the window. Raise or lower the sash (for double hung windows) or slide the sash open (for sliding windows) a minimum of 3". Squeeze both tilt latches to disengage them. Carefully lower the sash toward you. If necessary, support it either by resting it on a chair or having someone help you while cleaning. When closing the sash, make certain that the tilt latch buttons click in to lock the sash in place.
