This is proof of their integrity and operational standards. In honor of their outstanding service, St. Clair, in addition to the donation to Operation Homefront is offering a 10% discount on all services to Veterans and their families beginning Monday, August 22, 2011 through Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
September 13, 2011In appreciation of St. Clair Corporation’s dedication to Operation Homefront Missouri, the 94th Engineer Battalion located at Fort Leonard Wood invited Angie Pillman, Marketing Director of St. Clair Corporation, and other key donors and volunteers to Fort Leonard Wood for a tour of the base.
St. Clair Corporation has been heavily involved in the assistance of Operation Homefront since the summer of 2011. St. Clair Corporation started with a summer campaign, donating a portion of its sales from August 22, 2011 through Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Then in late September, St. Clair Corp. made a significant donation of home improvement materials to Operation Homefront: windows, doors, siding, and other home improvement supplies. In October, 2011 St. Clair donated 4200 sq. feet of shingles needed to complete the roof on a pavilion at Fort Leonard Wood, a pavilion that will be used by the soldiers, families, and their children.
September 14, 2011St. Clair Corporation, working directly with Operation Homefront Missouri, was made aware of the plan for a pavilion at Fort Leonard Wood for family events. The 30x 40’ pavilion was to be located adjacent to the preschool on base. St. Clair Corporation provided 4200 sq. feet of shingles needed to complete the roof on the pavilion. Amazingly, within just three days of receiving the lumber and roofing materials the 94th Engineer Battalion located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri had the pavilion completed and ready for use! “St Clair immediately stepped in to help make this project a success,” said Dave Woolley, Board Vice Chairman of Operation Homefront Missouri, and added the pavilion was a “tangible tribute in honor of the sacrifice of military families.”
September 28, 2011St. Clair Corporation continues its dedication to Operation Homefront Missouri. On September 28, 2011 St. Clair Corporation opened its doors to their warehouse in Columbia Missouri, donating a significant amount of home improvement material. Windows, doors, siding, and other home improvement supplies were among the materials donated to Operation Homefront.

November 17, 2011Community pulls together to celebrate new pavilion
By Melissa Buckley : GUIDON staff Thayer Elementary School has a new pavilion, but it’s going to be used for more than just a picnic area. The new pavilion will serve as an outdoor classroom — an instructional place to study nature, plants and conservation. “The purpose of the outdoor classroom is to promote conservation education through instructional units that meet grade-level expectations and encourage hands-on outdoor learning experiences. Students will gain an appreciation of our natural resources and our role in conserving them,” said Renee Hays, Thayer Elementary School principal. A ribbon cutting ceremony officially opened the pavilion to the kids on Nov. 9. Grades kindergarten through 6th will be able to use the pavilion and garden areas. The Thayer Elementary PTO had been raising funds for the past three years to save up enough to build the structure. “They raised $5,000, and the 94th Engineer Battalion, under the command of Lt. Col. Gary Calese, worked with Operation Homefront and the St. Clair Corporation to secure shingles and lumber where our funds fell short. Lt. Col. Calese tasked this project out to the 2nd Platoon, 77th Engineer Company, 94th Engineer Battalion and Lt. Jonathan Lanning to construct. They worked on gathering materials, planning the construction, and then constructing the pavilion within a six-week period,” Hays said. Dave Woolley, Operation Homefront Missouri board vice chairman said it is an honor to serve those, and the Families of those, who serve. “This is not just a structure of wood and shingles; it is a symbolic reminder of the shield that the members of our armed forces hold above all of us,” Woolley said. “It is a privilege to be able to help provide this shield for the children here at Fort Leonard Wood.” Work is continuing on the outdoor classroom. “We are now working with the 35th Engineer Battalion to construct and lay out our garden plots and timbers, and the Navy Sea Bees are working on building picnic tables to go in the pavilion,” Hays said. “The coming spring will be a busy and productive time for the Thayer Outdoor Classroom, and we thank all of our partners in making the classroom a reality for the Thayer Elementary students, staff, and community.” New Pavillion Fort LeonardWood
